ShopStyle x Dress for Success

lbd-outfit-ideas

Happy Giving Tuesday, loves! Today, I’m teaming up with ShopStyle to help raise money for Dress for Success – an international not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life! I am donating 10% of any sales generated through my blog, today and tomorrow, to Dress for Success! Anything you buy through the links on my blog, today and tomorrow, will benefit Dress for Success! Also, ShopStyle will be matching 100% of my contribution. So, we’ll be doubling the amount we contribute to DFS! So, for instance, if you buy a $50 bag through one of the links on my blog, I will contribute $5, and ShopStyle will match that contribution, meaning we’d donate $10 to DFS. So, get to shopping!

Here are links to some of my other favorite stores, if you decide to shop & help us contribute, today & tomorrow –

Thriving in work and life has a lot to do with looking and feeling confident. It’s funny how up until a couple years ago, I barely owned anything black. In the past couple years, however, that has changed. I feel like there’s nothing easier, and more perfect than an LBD. For any occasion. When I shot this outfit yesterday morning, I was having a bit of a rough start to my day and week. So, as I was getting dressed for work, I thought about what I could wear that’s easy, and guaranteed to make me look and feel great! This black dress is ridiculously soft (kind of like wearing the softest t-shirt or being wrapped in a throw blanket), comes in 3 colors, and it’s also the perfect length for work. The ruching at the waist makes it extremely flattering for any body type. Nothing makes me feel more confident than a great pair of heels, and a bold red lip though!

When it comes to empowering me, I have always turned to my grandparents. Crazy, huh? But they’ve always made me feel like I can do anything I want …. as long as I work hard. They never forgot that bit about working hard. Somehow, they always made me feel unstoppable, and for that, I am forever grateful. Who empowers you? Would love to hear your stories!
