I found this sweater the other day and am kind of obsessed with it. It’s super cozy and I love the animal print! When I was thinking of what to pair it with, I realized I hadn’t worn my favorite colored jeans in a while. Between the print sweater and the bright pants, the outfit already has a lot going on so I decided to keep the accessories simple. This was also my first time shooting with Reggy Stainfil, which was a super fun experience – check him out!

This sweater is def going to become a favorite this year. Do you guys have any fall/winter favorites that you always go to?

Ok, so I didn’t go to Paris but with my stockings, it’s the closest I’ve ever been! :) A couple years ago, I wore these stockings and shoes to work and one of my then co-workers Instagrammed a pic of it. I hadn’t worn these stockings since. I just recently came across that pic again and that picture inspired this look!

A shot of Times Square, NYC, from Skyroom

Last night, I went to NYC with a few people, to a Thanksgiving Eve party. Being a grad student, this has become a rare occasion. So, of course, I was super excited and this venue is beyond stunning! I was super confused about what to wear and then I found a peplum dress I had bought a while ago and never worn! I think this was actually my first time wearing peplum!

Sheela’s outfit – Dress: H&M, Shoes: Aldo’s, Necklace: Loehmann’s.
My outfit – Dress: Wet Seal, Wedges: Aldo’s (also seen here)
Bracelets: Forever 21 & InPink, Necklaces: H&M, Miniaudière: Steve Madden, Ring: Marc by Marc Jacobs (c/o 6pm)

I hadn’t seen Sheela in a while so I was really happy to spend some time with her! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! I am beyond thankful for all your love and support! Happy shopping tomorrow!!

Lately, I feel I’ve been drawn to B&W outfits and then either pairing the outfit with bright colors (here) or keeping it mellow (here). Either way, I think B&W outfits are the perfect blank canvas, no?

Coat, pants, bag, and necklace: H&M
Shoes: Aldo’s
Bracelets: Jimmy Choo for H&M, InPink, and Forever21
Sunnies: Urban Outfitters
Ring: Charlotte Russe

Do you guys have any combinations that you’re always drawn towards?

During the most recent StyleCaster #StyleChat on Twitter, someone asked “Little Black Dress or colorful attire for your Holiday Party?”. I, of course, said color! As cliché as this sounds, it is the most wonderful time of the year. So, why not wear color and sparkles, and celebrate? And with that, I’ve picked 3 beautifully chic looks, that don’t require an LBD!

Dress/Ring/Shoes/Clutch
I am in love with this look. The color is so rich and looks even better because it’s velvet! You’ll stand out in a pool of black dresses, in just the right way! Wear your hair in loose curls or an up do, with a purple/silver smoky eye and a nude lip and you’re all set!

Dress/Booties/Ring/Bag/Earrings/Necklace
Dazzle everyone in this gorgeous sequin dress – perfect for a holiday party or for NYE! The booties add an edge to the look. Wear with a nude lip or a bold, red lip! You could wear your hair up or down.

Dress/Sandals/Clutch/Earrings/Ring
The minute I saw this dress, I fell in love. It’s glamorously chic, and yet understated. Keep your makeup natural, dramatic black eyeliner, maybe even with a hint of green and gold on the bottom!

Hope this post has motivated you guys to wear something other than the good ol’ LBD to your holiday parties this year!
