So, I just recently started using Spotify and am still trying to figure it out. I searched for some song today and this whole playlist starts playing …. or something like that. I don’t even know how this all went down.

Anyways, I’m sitting here listening to this playlist and it’s playing a good mix of all genres of English songs and Bollywood songs. So, I tweet – “Idk who’s playlist I’m listening to on Spotify but I like it. A good mix of English and Bollywood music.” So, one of my follower tweets me, asking what the playlist is called and I tweet back saying I’m not even sure if it’s someone else’s playlist since I’m still trying to figure Spotify out. Now I’m curious too coz I wanna find out what this playlist is – it’s a really good playlist so I wanna share it. So, I start scrolling up and when I scroll all the way to the top, I see this –

That’s right, I was listening to my own library! How am I supposed to know Spotify does that?

Here’s the tweet that followed – “This is going to be the MOST #epic of all my tweets …. EVER! The Spotify playlist mentioned in my previous tweet is my own iTunes library.”

I don’t always have the most epic moments, but when I do ….

Yesterday, I re-organized all my shoes – something I do twice a year. I put all my summer shoes in the back and brought my fall/winter shoes to the front of my closet. I love doing this because it almost feels like I just bought a ton of new shoes – since all these have been out of sight for about 6 months now!

As I was re-organizing, I realized that for someone who’s a major shoe addict, I’ve never blogged about shoes *gasp*! It’s time to change that! So, here are my picks for flats that are right on trend for this season –

Cap-Toe

Splurge / Save
Added Bonus – Leopard is always sexy for fall/winter!

Gold

Splurge / Save
Added Bonus – Strut right into spring, from winter, in these!

Studs

Splurge / Save
Added Bonus – Smoking Slippers with studs = 2 fab trends in 1!

Smoking Slippers

Splurge / Save
Added Bonus – These can go, very easily, from day to night!

Reptile Skin

Added Bonus – Dress these up or down!

Which of these trends do you guys love? Will you be rocking any of them? Have you scored any fab flats yet? Please share!

At 10:16 am, on Monday 9/26/2011, as I was sitting in my Finance class in the first semester of my MBA, I posted my first blog post …. ever! That was a year ago. Now, a year later, I’m sitting here trying to write this first anniversary post and I can only think of 2 words – THANK YOU!

Yes – to everyone that’s reading this post now and to everyone that’s ever been on my blog – A big ol’ THANK YOU!

Last year, this time, I was in a VERY different place in my life. Not the happiest of places either. This blog was a very positive outcome from a very negative situation – “The Rose That Grew From Concrete”. When I created this blog, I had no idea what I was expecting or what I wanted this to turn into. I didn’t even think this far out. A year later, I’ve shared SO much with you all – my outfitsmy crazy dating storiesmy summer in Boston, and some stories that are very personal and very close to my heart – amongst other things! I am so thankful for all your kind and encouraging words, for all your support, and all the love – I hope that my relationship with y’all continues to grow.

As a result of this blog, I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful, inspiring women and I can’t wait to meet more! Also, there are so many exciting plans I have, for this blog, going forward. I have some REALLY big news coming to the blog on Friday so, stay tuned! And now, for the winner of this fabulous giveaway! Aaaaand the winner is ….

*drumroll*

Renu! Congratulations, Renu – I’ll be contacting you soon! Don’t forget to share what beautiful item(s) you snag with your Crazy & Co giftcard!

Massive thanks to everyone that participated and spread the word – you guys are fab!

Alright, that’ll be it for now! Tomorrow on the blog – a shoe post! Thank you all, again, for accompanying me on this wonderful journey!

Let me just start  by saying that in my world, the stars were perfectly aligned today!

This outfit was something I had in my head, but there was a little problem – I didn’t have the leggings or the blouse. I figured oxblood is everywhere and so are leather/liquid leggings so this should be an easy task, right? Wrong! It seemed like every place I went to was out of these leggings and it every single store I went to, had everything in oxblood, EXCEPT a blouse! I knew exactly what I wanted and I wanted nothing else. After searching for days (literally!), I just gave up hope. Then 2 days ago, I was on a random shopping trick – not even looking for any of these items – and I found both! I was SO excited!

Such an ordeal for an outfit …. but you guys know how it is, right? So, I finally had the outfit and I was so excited! And then I received the ring and clutch from 6pm, just in time! Also, I suck at making sock buns but this one looks moderately decent so I was super happy about that!
Blouse: W118 by Walter Baker, from Loehmann’s. (Similar here), Leggings: Charlotte Russe
Necklace: Loehmanns, Pumps: Wild Pair (Old), Watch: BCBGMaxAzria
Clutch and Ring: Gifted – thanks 6pm!
Admiring my new bling!
OPI Malaga Wine & Glitzerland

Over the years, Oxblood has changed names many times – it’s been called Burgundy, Maroon, Wine, Bordeaux …. and who knows what else! What hasn’t changed is my love for this color – it’s such a rich color and one that works on …. well, everyone! Are you as obsessed with this color, as I am? How will you be rockin’ Oxblood this season?
