Deciding what to wear to a work holiday party is one of the trickiest things! Of course, it has to be professional, but this is also the right opportunity to show a bit more personality, no? Also, this is your chance to get noticed. So, what you wear to a work holiday party can be very important. That being said, you also don’t wanna look like you’re trying too hard.
The outfit I’m wearing in today’s post works for a dinner party, or a low-key afterwork holiday get together. During work, you can skip the belt and add a blazer. After work, the belt adds more personality. When it comes to deciding what to wear to a work holiday party, I’m all about making subtle statements. The dress is a good ol’ lbd, but there is a lot of volume, which definitely makes a statement. The shoes aren’t loud, but they do stand out. Lastly, the best part – y’all know how I feel about pockets, right? If it has pockets, it wins.
Would ya look at all that volume? This dress just makes me wanna keep spinning!
And because one option is never enough, here are two more ideas to help you solve the dilemma of what to wear to work holiday party, including an entire outfit under $100!
Could you excuse me while I drool over this outfit? If your company’s holiday party is super fancy or if you’re in a senior role, this is the look for you. You’re definitely going to turn heads, in a really, really good way! Again, it’s all about subtle statements. Each piece in this outfit can make a statement all on it’s own, but I’ve kept everything pretty neutral, making the skirt the highlight of this look. Can this whole outfit end up in my closet …. now? Please? (Hope you’re taking notes, Santa!)
So, how do y’all handle the what to wear to a work holiday party dilemma? What’s your formula? Which of these three looks do you like best? By the way, anybody already had their work holiday party? What did you wear? If yours is coming up, what are you planning on wearing?!
