Happy Monday, babes! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Mine was pretty good, except I was sick all weekend! Thankfully, I got to rest up, and am feeling much better now! On Thursday, I attended the launch of Lord & Taylor Birdcage. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw this picture of my outfit for the event! I had such a good time at the launch of Lord & Taylor Birdcage – a concept shop on the second floor of Lord & Taylor’s flagship store on Fifth Ave! While I was there, I got the exclusive scoop on the charming, little history behind Lord & Taylor Birdcage! It turns out, Birdcage was a restaurant and tearoom, opened in the late 1930s, on the fifth floor of Lord & Taylor’s flagship, Fifth Ave store! For their 100th anniversary this year, Lord & Taylor wanted to bring the Birdcage back in an updated, unique form. So, they decided to launch Lord & Taylor Birdcage, the boutique. Such a cute, little story, no? Lord & Taylor Birdcage carries unique pieces, ranging from clothing to jewelry to headphones, and the best part is that most of the designers are NYers, and the items are made right in New York! The boutique is absolutely beautiful, and has some amazing finds! If you’re in NYC, you should definitely visit Lord & Taylor Birdcage.
For this outfit I wore to the event, I decided to put together some of my fall favorites. This sweatshirt (also seen here and here) is one of my fall staples. I’ve also worn this (faux) leather pencil skirt a few times – here, here and here! Which of the 4 looks, with this pencil skirt, is your favorite? I, personally, love this one! By the way, since I posted this picture, everyone’s been asking me where I got my plaid clutch! Also, everyone at the event was asking me where I got it. You can buy it here – it’s 30% off right now!
